Survival is where philosophy breaks down. It’s where morality would break down. The right to survive trumps all other rights, and wrongs. It’s something that bulldozers over pride, ego, individualism, honor, other sins, and virtues. It either ends up becoming an excuse for altruism or or life. Or is it?
