The First.

It was fun to write this one. The First was inspired by @psychadelicsolace’s (Meenakshi’s) Instagram post (embedded below). This was, just one of the many eventful, first date experiences. And it captures my this first date, precisely. Thank you @psychadelicsolace (Meenakshi), for the very much needed inspiration. I am of the mind to make this into a series of poems, about first date encounters.

. | FIRST DATE | . . I was sitting across the table from these 17 year olds enjoying an engaging conversation. It was their first date as a couple and otherwise as well. Their elder sisters sat at a distance keeping a close watch while waves of nostalgia hit them. Some shreds of memories from their first dates as teenagers kept them company. It was an intriguing sight... . . Do you remember your first date? The excitement... The nervousness... The first touch... . . . . #handinframe #vscocam
