I got a link1 in my email today. Nothing special about that. But the page that it linked to, well there’s some very interesting thoughts, and encouraging inspiration in there.

Seth Godin released a book, in 2012. Nothing special or new about that fact. The book he released though, has some very interesting ideas, and images bound into those pages.

“Design, at its core, thrives when a human being cares enough to do work that touches another — it doesn’t thrive when it gets more ‘efficient’…” - Seth Godin.

The Book.

In 2014, at the HOW conference Seth Godin , and Debbie Millman sat down to have a conversation about a variety of topics related to art, design, and the self. She used his book “V Is for Vulnerable: Life Outside the Comfort Zone” released in 2012, to speak about how the topics within the book are affecting design, and art on an individual level, and how the same topics were also affecting the individual’s creativity. It’s a very interesting conversation. The book is an alphabet book, for grownups. It’s illustrated by Hugh MacLeod. I just got myself the Kindle edition, after listening to the interview (embedded below).

If you have an hour to spare today, I highly recommend listening to the embedded conversation below. Maria Popova of BrainPickings was able to record this interview.
