NaNoWriMO Writing Prompt - Day 25:

Here’s a splendid idea for thanksgiving, as a prompt:

Document a man’s discovery of self-acceptance through its entire process, as he starts from the bottom of the barrel. And, finally ends up in a place where he was meant to be. There are a lot of paths that lead to self-acceptance. And, it would be possible to take different routes in the story, with the man ending up at the same place, no matter which path he chooses.

It’s about a griping set of steps that almost everyone goes through as they grow old. That’s what growing up means, I suppose. It all eventually leads up to him being thankful for everything he is, and has been through. Thankful to everyone that has made him who he is, this day.

This can be a marvelous short story or a novella.
