“When do we end up deciding that we’re ready to give up? How do we reach the decision of giving up, before reaching the destination? Is it when we see, and become aware the dangerous crossroads that lie ahead of the current paths we choose, is it when causality interferes with the realities we’ve chosen then or is it because of our experiences based on our choices made in the past? Do we give up when the boulder in the distance looks a mountain towering to, and burrowing into the heavens, making us feel belittled? Is it when we know any shortcuts that show themselves must surely be more than they’re worth? Do we give up when the weight of the laden back we carry suddenly weighs more than our feet? When is it that we decide to give up?” -
