We fear a lot of things, and more often than not, we create scenarios in our end based on these fears of events, and things alike. A recent post on 9Gag, gives our deep dark fears an outlet of sorts.

“Scared is what you’re feeling. Brave is what you’re doing.” ― Emma Donoghue, Room

There’s something that we all fear. Most of these are things that we do not wish to comprehend or simply do not understand yet.

Don’t take my word for it. Listen to Elon Musk instead.

Some of our fears edge around on stupidity, if I may; they’re down right stupid, and unrealistic at times. Stupid, yes. But, not in a way that they’re belittled or in any less way, threatening with respect to maintaining our sanity. Then, there are times when they’re based on experience, and gained perceptions. These require us to work on them, to face them; one way or another, to get over them, they require us to dump courage or bravado into our throats. I don’t know about you, but a battle cry sounds just the right thing, for these kind.

More often than not, we fear extremities created within our minds, based on simple everyday living. The lost sense of security or no sense of security leads us to creating scenarios that if ever would come true. I’d bet this to be a normal part of the fight or flight response.

16 Deep Dark Fears That Our Nightmares Are Made Up Of

Whatever kind our fears may be, some of them have taken deep roots. And, nothing I’ve come across yet, explains some of these dark rooted, deep fears like the below embedded images from 9Gag.

Some like the fear of missing out on the amazing things that may happen after we die, fear of the self (mirror), fear of being left alone because everyone we care about is gone, fear of time slipping by or us ending with regrets, fear of not being able to find the one, and the fear of everyone finding out who we are, of our true selves coming to light are some of my own favorites, from the images embedded above.

Looking at those images, it’s hard not to think that some of those fears are really, really stupid. And, some look even more macabre than how we envision these within our own heads. Yet, all of them create panic, and are causes of anxiety for a lot of us.
