Writing Prompt For
Day XXX of NaNoWriMo:
“Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.” - Meister Eckhart
Mornings are beautiful, I think so. Ever they are filled with brimming potential, choices, and of course golden light. They are also bearers of newness; the air is mostly cooler, the breeze soft. Everyday I wake up, and I do feel like a beginner. There’s just so much to learn; so much knowledge to acquire, and to implement. There’s just so much wonder to see, and to experience. And mornings are about just all of that. I tend to plan my day based on where this morning breeze blows, and what my thoughts are when I awake. Even while going off to sleep, I cannot be glad that tomorrow will be a new day. And if tomorrow never arrives, than I am thankful for the dawn I witnessed today. Mornings are best suited for the Jack of Trades, within all of us.
To be a beginner each day, is to hold in awe everything that surrounds you. To re-discover parts of yourself, and the world around you, only to become awe-inspired all over again. Even if you know everything there is to know about something, or someone, the fact that you look at such things, and people with the eyes of a beginner says a lot about them, and ultimately your happiness. That’s how I perceive mornings, and how I tend become an absolute child during that time of day.
How do you awake? I know it’s hard getting out of that bed, but when you do, how does it feel? Do you look at everything, and everyone anew? Take everyday, as fresh start to something, with someone? Is is mesmerising enough to hold you in awe? Write about your mornings!
